Low Pay Card

I'm a single mother and I live on welfare, I got suckered into this free credit card, then come to find out it is for vitamins and only the products they sell. I never gave authorization to anyone and now my bank account is $382.00 in the hole and the bank is holding me responsible. I called the 1-800 number and I never get anyone the message hangs up on me. Finally I called a different number I found on the book and the lady told me to wait and I'll get my Welcome Packet with a cancle form that I have to fill out. She said that I would get all my money back once I sent it in. The packet never showed, now I can't get a hold of anyone and owe my bank $382.00, I can't afford!!!! I want my money and don't know where to find these people, can anyone help??????? Please I have a two year baby girl and I just can't afford to go to court over something I never approved.

I want my $79 dollars put back into my account by 10/01/08 or I am taking matters into my own hands the legal way. how can you just take money out and not verify you are a fraud. I have four children to feed and I don't have job right now and with economy the way it is you would do anything for a quick dollar. i am barely getting by and you just want to put someone in debt. I havent even heard or remember agreeing for you to take moey out of an account that is a savings account. I don't even own a checking account and it's people like you why I don't.Please give me back my money.tawn gottschalk

LPC took moneies from my account and never sent welcome kit.

I did not realize they were going to go into my checking account numerous times and when I tried to cancel over phone was told I had to wait to receive welcome kit before I could cancel. Well, I have not received the kit yet and it has been 3 weeks since that conversation with a csr. After visiting their website, I discovered that I could cancel over the phone but was told that I could not do so. This card is a scam and I hope by writing this letter I can prevent someone else from falling for this scam.

Low Pay Card Bait and Switch

Whatever they may imply, they are a buying club not a general credit card. This company has sent me numerous mailers over the last year. They are NOT capable of credit repair; the “service” is for overstock hard-to-move merchandise at astronomical prices- laptops, televisions, everything is easily double the cost at any of the other online prices I checked. The website prices are blocked to “non-members” . The phone representative refused to give prices, stating (with a colleague coaching in the background) that it was “competitively priced” name brand merchandise. Unfortunately, they did manage to entice an elderly, disabled neighbor into giving them her banking information, and she has had a very tough time getting her money back. For those of you concerned bout loved ones in this situation, I would recommend consulting with your banking officer. Also, the “refund” the agent promised was worthless since the 30 day refund is contingent upon return of the catalog and other materials, which did not arrive till a few days before the refund period expired. The letter is densely packed with hard-to-read fine print. The best answer to the question of legitimacy is probably provided by LPC, Inc, themselves. Simply read the fine print these people put on the back of their letter to get a good idea of where they are coming from, the lengthy "dispute resolution process goes into great detail about the rights and privileges of any poor soul unwary enough to do business with them The concluding paragraph sums it up nicely: : You understand and agree that you are A) hereby waiving your right to have a trial by jury to resolve any claim B). You are hereby waiving your right to have a court (other than the exceptions specifically addressed by this document i.e. small claims court) resolve any claim and C) you are hereby waiving your rights to join or consolidate claims with the claims of others, or serve or participate as a representative or member of a class making any such claims or in the capacity of a private attorney general in any lawsuit or arbitration involving a claim without written consent from us. What do they mean by claim? They define that as well. …claim refers to the broadest possible meaning and includes claims of every kind and nature including without limitation any and all claims, disputes and controversies arising under and relating to tort (including injury related to negligence or intentional conduct) contract or broken promises, common law or equity fraud, statute, rules, regulation, the Constitution including and without all federal and state disclosure electronic fund transfer retail installment account, debt collection, lending, privacy, warranty, insurance, service contract, product liability, unfair business practice, misrepresentation, unfair competition and other consumer protection statutes, laws, and regulations, examples of such rules include without limitation the Federal Trade Commission act, , the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Billing Act, the Electronic Signatures Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Credit Repair Organizations Act ,the Equal Credit Opportunities Act and regulations issued there under and equivalent state statutes, laws and regulations. The provisions of this section will survive payment, termination, or closure of your account or your bankruptcy. If any provisions of this section are deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this agreement shall survive and remain fully enforceable, regardless of such determination of invalidity. They seem to be trying to pull off a legal "bait and switch", and protect themselves from any kind of accountability for their actions. Are they a scam? Probably. Do they get away with it? Most likely. This Beaverton, Or company hides behind a cloud or legal jargon, and based on their cardholder agreement, have little to offer people in need of credit or credit repair. And they have gone to great lengths to set up a system to get money from you.

This company is a scam. You never receive your items and they won't stop billing you once they have access to your account.

Guest

How so true. You call it a bait and switch and all the information was right there in front of you.

You've got to realize that most of you that do apply for this do have bad credit because you've failed to pay other companies. Companies should be writing about how much of a *** you people are that couldn't pay. If you didn't have bad credit, then you wouldn't have needed to rely on something like this. Like what the other guy side, they do tell you about this.

They never say Visa or Mastercard. They never once said you can use this anywhere. You were just assuming it was. They legally cannot lie to you.

Try this. Record your conversation you have with them. Listen to everything word for word.

Had you were intelligent to comprehend it all, you wouldn't be in this position. I don't have pity for all these pathetic people anyways.

the key is to read things and understand what youre doing before giving away information such as your checking account they may be cons but youre worse if you fall for it i have no pity....read!

These guys rip off are in nevada and a corporation set up by a mullhofer law aka protectmyassets. They operate phoney bait and switch debt relief. Or put you in a land trust to steal your cash fast.

Guest

Why isn't there a real web site that can haelp people out of debt .Probably the good ones are rip offs too. Why should there exsit phony scams when the persident of the united states and the people of congress put american soil in an economic hole. There are a lot of people trying to get out of debt and the last thing we all need is scammers on line .I'm wondering if the employement I had for 7 years was ripping me off.

I am shocked that this is based out of nevada instead of california. Why do they still do this when the economy or the president and the people in congress put the united states map in a hole? Why are they still ripping people off. This is much worse than untrust worthy family near and far.

wow,i just got one of these card offers in the mail.i knew right away it was an on-line store card from somewhere.i'm just glad people like you take the time to break it down for everyone.these wannabe company's are amazing at STEALING from ppl. Thanks again!

If you ignore the explintation of the program when you sign up (that 5 or 10 minutes when somebody was talking to you telling you what the card is good for), you will be upset. Your counting the limit you can max out instead of paying attention.

They tell you several times its a merchant card, like from a store. Lesson of the day: turn off the tv when applying for credit.

Stole money from me and called me a liar

LPC is suppose to "help" you with your credit? Yeah right. This company charges you $79.00 activation fee that is non-refundable,then tells you to pay a membership fee of $120.00.I you decide to cancel te card you will not be charged the membership fee. BIG LIE!!!! I asked them to hold the membership fee until my next pay day, they took it out anyway. Then the "manager" who says he is the "district" manager also (whatever) tells me I'm a liar and that I'm acting like a 2 yr old because I tried to tell him what I was told. And that I had a yearly membership balabce of $400 because the yrly fee is $900. I was never told any of that when I talked to the first representaive when I called after I stupidly activated the card. When I called on 6/11/08 to cancel my card I spent 3 rs on the phone getting cut off and hung up on.The "manager" called me a liar again. I called LPC several times, on hold for 15-20 mins a time and he called me a liar when I told him I could show proof on my cell bill on the minutes. I then asked the "manager" what his supervisors name was, he tells me he doesn't have one.Like that wasn't a lie itsself. His name is "Bob". To anyone who has a complaint on this company, your not alone. Call and talk to a rep. before you THINK about getting one of these cards and as far as them "helping" you fix your credit. Won't happen!

Low Pay Card

This company is very fraudulent. They also charged my bank account $79 and then $120. When I got the packet and called for a refund number I was told that my account would again be charged a membership fee of $198. I never asked for any of this. I just requested information from this company. I had to close my account out because of them. Customer service treated me like *** and told me that I did ask for the membership. And no, you can't cancel the membership at all. This company should be closed down for fraud! I am soooo pissed!

Low Pay Card - nonrefundable processing fee

I recently opened an account with Low Pay Card. Low Pay Card is not affiliated with Visa/Mastercard, therefore they do not run a credit check, but when I opened with them I closed my account with them. Be careful about sharing your information with them or opening with them. They charged me a fee of $79 dollars which is nonrefundable. Therefore, eventhough I closed the account ith them they are still charging me. Like others are saying I look at them like used cardealers! They take your money and run! So my recommendation is Stay away from them! they are Thieves!
